Fukuyama Says Greater Regulation Of Capital Markets Is Necessary
Political scientist Francis Fukuyama says liberal democracies have had to restore greater regulation of capital markets. In an interview with RFE/RL's Georgian Service, the author of the widely-read essay The End of History?, says the 2008 financial crisis in the United States showed that marketization 'went too far' and that there was 'insufficient regulation' of the free market.
