A belarusz rendőri erők könnygázt és villanógránátokat vetettek be a tiltakozó tömeg ellen vasárnap, miközben az ötvenedik naphoz értek a tiltakozások az országot 26 éve irányító Aljakszandr Lukasenka rezsimje ellen. A volt szovjet tagköztársaságot autoriter módszerekkel irányító politikust vitatható körülmények között választották újra, ezért – bár nemrég letette az elnöki esküt – az Európai Unió és az Egyesült Államok nem ismerik el legitim elnöknek.

"Szégyen!"

Becslések szerint mintegy százezer ember vonult szeptember 27-én vasárnap az utcára az ország fővárosában, Minszkben, hogy Lukasenka lemondását és tiszta választásokat követeljenek. „Fasiszta! Szégyen!” – skandálták a tüntetők, ugyanis az államhatalom erői sokszor brutális kegyetlenséggel lépnek fel a tiltakozókkal szemben, beszámolók szerint nem ritka, hogy minden indoklás nélkül hurcolnak el embereket az utcáról, és az őrizetben bántalmazzák őket.

Homel városában símaszkos rohamrendőrök támadtak a tüntetőkre, többeket őrizetbe vettek. Az akcióhoz könnygázt is bevetettek, és a levegőbe lőttek oszlatás közben. A belügyminisztérium helyi irodája elismerte, hogy könnygázt, valamint hang- és fénygránátot használtak a rendőrök, hogy fellépjenek „azokkal szemben, akik nem megfelelő magatartást tanúsítottak”.

Gumibot, könnygáz

Az utcára vonultak az emberek Mahiljovban és Lidában is. A rendőrség Mahiljovban szintén könnygázt használt, valamint villanógránátot vetettek be, amikor jó pár tucat ember kettes sorban a város főutcáján szeretett volna végigvonulni. Szemtanúk szerint a rendőrök gumibottal verték a tüntetőket, és kisbuszokban vittek el egyeseket.

A belarusz belügyminisztérium elismerte, hogy „nagyjából 200” embert őrizetbe vettek az országban. A Vjaszna emberi jogi csoport szerint 341 embert vittek el a rendőrök vasárnap folyamán.

Ellenzéki beiktatási ceremónia

A lassan két hónapja tartó tüntetések a hétvégén azzal folytatódtak, hogy a tiltakozók szimbolikus beiktatást rendeztek az ellenzék legesélyesebb jelöltjének, Szvjatlana Cihanouszkajának, miután Lukasenka múlt hét szerdán soron kívül, titokban letette az elnöki esküt.

Szvjatlana Cihanouszkaja – aki sokak szerint egy tiszta választáson legyőzte volna Lukasenkát – az ellenzék legtöbb tagjához hasonlóan elmenekült az országból a választást követően, ugyanis attól félt, hogy bebörtönzi a hatalom. Eredetileg egyébként nem ő, hanem a férje indult volna az elnöki székért, azonban ő kiesett a versenyből, miután letartóztatták.

A jelenleg Litvániában tartózkodó Szvjatlana Cihanouszkaja arra szólította föl az embereket, hogy tüntessenek egy új, tiszta választásért, hogy egy törvényes és hivatalos elnöki beiktatást tarthassanak.

„Ma van a tiltakozások 50. napja. Azért vagyunk itt, hogy megállítsuk ezt a rezsimet, és ezt békésen fogjuk elérni” – üzente a politikus egy videóban.

Szombaton száz tüntetőt vittek el a rendőrök Minszkben, amikor női csoportok vonultak fel, hogy a rendszer ellen tiltakozzanak. A választások óta több százezer belarusz vonult az utcákra. A Lukasenka-rezsim keményen fellép a többnyire békés tiltakozókkal szemben, és a külföldi tudósítókat is megpróbálják az országon kívül tartani.

Aljakszandr Lukasenka tagadja, hogy csaltak volna a választásokon, és azt állítja, hogy külföldről szervezik a tiltakozásokat.
